it broke when we took it out of the box |

We were excited about this product , and had read many positive reviews about its performance. But we never got a chance to see if it worked because when we took it out of the box to check it out, we put it into its pocket clip cover,and when we tried to take it back out, the head came off, exposing the wires, and all. It just broke into 2 pieces! I am returning it, and unable to decide if I want to replace it with the same thing, or try something totally different. What a hassle! |

It's easy to read and easy to use. I really like its digital reading- lets you know the exact temp. |

Waterproof? |
Indicates temperature very fast I loved that...but waterproof? Apparently not! It quit working after washing one time by hand. I'll order another one and be very gentle when cleaning it.

inaccurate, won't calibrate |

Inaccurate and won't calibrate pretty much sums it up. I tried to calibrate this thermometer, plus another CDN "pro accurate" black one, and both were way off target (by more than 10 deg. F), and neither one would successfully calibrate (e.g. in ice water or boiling water). I won't buy any of these again. |
